Great people. Guy at the counter was extremely friendly. I went on a Wednesday which they were really busy because all their meals were $10. They ran out of almost everything there. Waited over an hr they offered me a drink was upset I had to change my order multiple times cause everything I wanted they were out of. I just think they need to make more food on Wednesdays maybe because they do get busy.
As soon as you walk in the setup is clean and unique. Service was so great, and quick! It is not a fast food restaurant which I love🙏🏾. All food made fresh and hot, so watch out😬🥵🤣. Best Authentic Local food in the city in my opinion. Every dish has the Chesfa own personal touch on it separating himself from others. The Alfredo was on point! Exquisite Alfredo I should say🤣💯🙏🏾. Chicken breast was very juicy and flavored to the T. Amen, May God bless this business and and may they continue to be nurturers to the community , Amen!
The food was not what I expected it to be, it doesn’t look like the picture on Facebook or on here. The Mac and cheese was watery and not a good taste. The candy yam was okay but. The fish was the only good thing on my plate. Not worth it at all! The customer service was good and the place was nice.
I was excited to see my meeting was right across the street from here. I looked up the hours and they were open. Excited! The wait was a bit much however, I didn't mind because I was excited. I purchased the "The big back tray" It consisted of 3 chicken parts 2 pieces of cat fish 3 sides (I picked Greens, Mac n Cheese & Spagetti) I wanted yams but they were out Finally!!...My food was ready! :(:(:(:(:( My chicken season was ok but SUPER SOGGY. No crunch at ALL. All the breeding slid off. The meat was gummy and a bit tuff (under cooked) the chicken was the size of my fist. Very big. It's a no for me The fish- was super soggy. The taste was real fishy, but I guess that's cat fish? The greens- Were ok. 6/10. Slight chance they were canned. The spaghetti- lacked tasted all together, and automatically had parm cheese in it. The mack and cheese- I believe it had smoked paprika in there but definitely something that stood out and was a big no for me. I did not like it at all. The kool-aid- sugar water, I did not taste any grape flavor I really wanted to love/like this place seeing I don't live far from it and the prices are not bad. I hope the establishment gets better and the owner thrives. Side note (but a serious note) Cashiers are the 1st impressions of all businesses. The young lady came off as she did not want to be there, was tired or frustrated and attitude was off. Hopefully she was having a bad day. But like myself, if it was someone's first time there, it's not a good look The decor is cute and cozy. The entire area was nice and clean. The wall decor could be framed and organized but cute. My absolute favorite beauty Ms. Whitney Houston is even on the wall. Nonetheless, I wish "Grab and trap" greatness on their future endeavors🫶🏾
I had heard really positive hype about this place and was excited to try it, unfortunately it was nothing but a disappointment. My waffle could be compared to a La Croix that lost its fizz, minimal flavor and spongey. I'm assuming it had been made a couple hours earlier. The same can be said for the catfish. Decent flavor, but slightly burnt and had definitely been sitting for hours. I asked for tarter on the side and I received a small cup that wasn't even half filled. Would not go back.
I used to rave about this place when it first opened—it was absolutely amazing. Despite living an hour away, we kept coming back, only to be repeatedly disappointed when they were always out of meatloaf. After five failed attempts, today was finally the day… and I wish it hadn’t been. The mac and cheese was so hot it melted the styrofoam container—because nothing says “quality dining” like a side of carcinogens. The meatloaf? Pink and unappetizing, making me question if it even saw a proper oven. The greens tasted like they came straight from a can, with all the flavor and texture of something dumped into a pot and forgotten. The dirty rice? More like “lazy rice”—bland, lifeless, and reminiscent of a microwaved instant meal. It’s beyond disappointing to see how far this place has fallen. What was once a fantastic experience has turned into an absolute embarrassment. Save yourself the trip and find somewhere that actually respects both their food and their customers.
1st time trying this place after seeing a friend's post on it. They did not disappoint. Got the surf and turf loaded potatoes half portion size and the banana pudding waffles. Had to put the banana pudding waffles in the fridge because I got full just off the surf and turf. All their food looks amazing there. Definitely going to try more from there
Went here for the first time, saw a video on TikTok talking about this place. Food was pretty good. Ordered the bando fish sandwich which came of lettuce and tomato. The catfish was really good, but the bread, tomato and lettuce on the sandwich were kind of soggy. It was probably because it was freshly made and the steam cause it to be soggy but The tomato definitely was super soft and didn’t seem fresh, but it still tasted good overall. I also got a side of Mac and cheese which was very delicious. My husband got a steak bagel with Tator tots. The bagel sandwich was very good with lots of flavor. The tots were a little soft, but I prefer crunchy tots. We didn’t order ahead of time so it was about a 25 minute wait which was communicated before hand. Met only the person who was running register. Friendly enough. It is in the back half of the boutique so the furniture and atmosphere is nice enough. Over all our experience was pretty nice and the food was a pretty good quality as well.
